Blackboard sessions

First Sunday of the month: starting February 2, 2025

On the first Sunday of each month we have a blackboard (open mic) concert at the Forta Leza Restaurant, just south of Katikati at 2656 Main Highway, Aongatete.  

Start time is 3pm. Entry is free.

There is amplification available, and (depending on how many participants there are) there’s the opportunity to play two or three songs to a bunch of nice people on a Sunday afternoon.

It's a very friendly atmosphere, so come along and try out your new songs, or just listen and maybe have one of the Forta Leza’s delicious pizzas.

This is a good opportunity to try out new music.

Jam sessions

Third Sunday of the month

In 2025 we will be trialling jam sessions on the following dates:

Sunday January 19th at 3pm

Sunday February 16th at 3pm

Sunday March 2nd at 3pm.  

If these sessions prove popular they may continue on an ongoing basis.

The venue is the Forta Leza Restaurant, just south of Katikati at 2656 Main Highway, Aongatete. Entry is free.

These are very casual, unamplified get-togethers, sitting around a large table and playing music.

Try out some new songs or show off some old favourites. 

Anyone who enjoys playing, singing – or just listening – is welcome.
