MAKUTA is an American cinematic rock band from New York. 

MAKUTA is Doug, Aleata and Rose Makuta.… siblings making their Katikati debut as part of their Great Expectations World Tour, in support of their new album. 

The band has headlined at the Edinburgh Festival and toured extensively around the world, with live shows that are something to be experienced. 

Brooklyn-based, the band writes, produces, performs, engineers and mixes all their music, communicating in a fiercely individual and uncompromising way, playing a diverse range of instruments that includes harp, cello, violin, viola, piano, bass, guitar, drums, percussion… and more.

With a raw, uninhibited presence from start to finish and an unwavering dedication to the music and their audience, the band strives to deliver each show as if it were their last.

Makuta have had songs featured on Wells Fargo, CBS, and more, and they have collaborated and written for/with fellow artist friends, including Janis Ian, Ab-Liva, Ron Carter and others.
