Bill Angus and
The Mighty Ways:

Passionate. Provocative. Engaging.

Bill Angus and The Mighty Ways blend modern English folk music with 1970s singer-songwriter rock, rich melodies, tight harmonies and largely acoustic instrumentation.

Bill recorded his first album in England in the 1990s and over the past five years  has produced three more with The Mighty Ways, who are currently touring All Night Before the World Began.

UK record  producer George Shilling (Blur, Primal Scream, Stornoway) praised the album’s ‘Beautifully crafted tracks…  The songs, the arrangements and the style are mined from the same place as the greatest 70s singer-songwriter albums. Think of Jackson Browne or James Taylor and you’ll be on the right lines.’

Bill is a passionate vocalist known for his commanding stage presence and connection with audiences. He will be on stage at Katikati Folk Club on June 19th - so don’t miss out!

‍THE BAND

‍Bill Angus

‍Back in the 1990s Bill recorded an album at Cornwall’s famous Sawmills Studio with members of Muse and two world-class producers: Pat Moran (Edie Brickell, Iggy Pop, Robert Plant) and John Cornfield (Radiohead, Supergrass, The Levellers).

‍He hung up his guitar for a few years while trying to get an education, and then got lucky with a job offer in New Zealand.

‍Ten years on, after releasing two solo albums and bubbling under the surface at various folk festivals and open mics, he’s very glad to be touring his third album All Night Before the World Began with these amazing musicians…
